Pamela Cook, ACFRE, is the Founder and Principal of Pamela Cook
Development Search. Since 2000, her firm, www.pamelacook.com, has
conducted more than 80 searches for nonprofit development professionals
in Northern California. Clients include nonprofits in higher education,
independent schools, social service, healthcare, environment, museums,
and performing arts.
Prior to launching her firm, Pam had 20 years experience in
nonprofit fundraising and corporate community relations. She
served as community relations manager for The Clorox Company,
and in senior development positions for the Stanford University
School of Engineering, the California Academy of Sciences, the
University of Virginia, and the United Way of Santa Clara County.
Pam was named as the 2003 Hank Rosso Outstanding Fundraising
Executive by the Association of Fundraising Executives (AFP)
and Northern California Grantmakers. She was 2000 and 2001 president
of the board of the Golden Gate Chapter of AFP. Pam serves on
the Regional Advisory Board of the Institute for International
Education and was a Big Sister for 10 years. She is a frequent
public speaker for groups including CASE, AFP, Queensland University
of Technology (Australia), and UC Berkeley Haas Business School.
Pam is a graduate of Duke University (BA) and the University
of Virginia (MA) and was a Fulbright Scholar at the Australian
National University. She was a Coro Community Fellow and holds
a certificate in corporate community relations from Boston College. |
